I began my journey in digital through freelance web design, building websites from concept to launch, shaping information architecture, crafting content, optimizing SEO, and translating business goals into clear user journeys. This experience strengthened my systems thinking and taught me how to balance user needs with strategic objectives.

Alongside my digital work, I’ve spent years as a professional Whitewater Kayak instructor and Whitewater Rescue Technician educator. Teaching in dynamic, high-stakes environments trained me to break down complexity into structured, actionable steps. It sharpened my communication, adaptability, and deep understanding of human psychology under pressure, skills I now apply when designing user flows and interaction patterns. In both rescue and UX, clarity builds confidence.

My earlier career in oenology shaped my respect for process and craft. Winemaking demands observation, precision, and iteration, qualities that now guide my research, prototyping, and refinement process in design.
